All Scouts are invited to participate in a Memorial Day flag ceremony to be held at 9 am Monday, May 29, at Zolliecoffer Park’s Confederate Cemetery (located on Highway 235 in Nancy). Afterward, Scouts are invited to observe a ceremony that begins at 11 am at the Mill Springs National Cemetery (located on KY 80).
Class A uniform is required. All Scouts participating in the Confederate Cemetery program will be provided a meal at noon at the Mill Springs Battle Field Association Visitor’s Center.
Note: This is not a Troop 170-sponsored event, so transportation to and from the ceremony will be on your own. However, service project hours will be provided with documentation. Questions about the ceremony should be directed to Bruce Burkett, bgburkett@yahoo.com, or 606-305-4121.
